Weather Bar Forecast #1, 2021

Weather Bar Forecast #2, 2021

Information

Sasamoto’s multimedia installation Weather Bar (2021) fuses the familiar interior of a common bar and a pseudo–science experiment. The bar is to serve a lonesome customer or a small group. At this unconventional bar, serving a “drink” indicates the act of spinning a whiskey glass. Some other possible drinks are presented in the weather forecast videos, in its making as demonstration. As the forecasts unfold, science and mystery are fused with much satire for the recent abnormal world events and climate changes.
