Installation

Information

E_O represents ego without gravity. Using childhood nightmares and boxing routines as starting points, this performance/installation explores the gaps between belief and perception, and attempts to establish the inherent geometry of eyesight, the enneagram, muscles and death. The sculptural elements of E_O are inspired in part by vernacular worship culture and ritual, with altar-like structures made of found pipe stands, towel ‘gates’ housing lenses and lemons, pre-recorded sound, plastic bags and paper among the work’s key elements.
